Summit Park Between Ludington and Pentwater on Lake Michigan

If you're looking for a great view, visit Summit Park! Located on S. Lakeshore Drive past the Ludington Pumped Storage Plant, this park has picnic tables that overlook Lake Michigan, with grills available. It's a great place to spend a quiet afternoon and feel the breeze on your face.
In 2013, volunteers got together and installed brand new playground equipment at Summit Park. Included are a pirate ship play station, new swings and a thick layer of wood chips for protection.
Follow the sandy path down to the beach and enjoy swimming or sunning on a hot summer day. Because it's a little off the beaten path, you may find less crowds, affording you more privacy.
As with many other parks, there is a shelter/pavilion and restrooms. Summit Park also has a sports field for baseball or softball.
Directions:
From Ludington, take Old 31 Highway across the PM River, and turn right on Iris Road. Follow Iris to the "T" in the road, and turn left onto S. Lakeshore Drive. Follow past the Pumped Storage Plant, and shortly after Meisenheimer Road, Summit Park will be on your right.
